Has anyone swam with dolphins at Chankanaab? What did it cost? Do I need to make reservations before hand? How long is the experience?
Thanks

Here is the website for swimming with the dolphins. It may take a minute to load. Should be a fun time!

I don't think the one you mention is in Chankanaab. It seems to be a different outfit.

Hi,
My sister and I swam with the dolphins in Chankanaab last October, we booked this tour through Princess as we were sailing on the Grand. It cost $149.00 per person and to me, was well worth every penny, it was definitely an experience of a lifetime and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The cost included the taxi ride to and from the ship and the dolphin swim. You had to pay an additional $10 fee for admission to Chankanaab Park.

The link that hstrybuf posted is the correct website. I think they call it the royal swim and it costs $119.00 per person. This excursion books up very quickly as they only allow a small number of people, I think it's about 10, but I'm not positive. This excursion was sold out and wait listed even before the Grand sailed, so if you want to swim with the
dolphins book it as soon as you can.

Have a wonderful time!

Rose :)

We swam with the dolphins at Roatan Island and were very pleased. It was an environment friendly learning center and everyone was very nice. We had over an hour with Tela, our dolphin, and her trainer. There was no rush, lots of time for pictures, etc.
We also stopped at Cozumel and saw the park the you describe. It was nothing like Roatan---------it was much more commercial and structured. Neither place offers "rides" on the dolphins. I highly recommend Roatan for dolphins.

We swam with the doilphins in Chankanaab and absolutely loved it. Best experience ever. We booked with dolphindiscovery.com directly and it was cheaper than booking with the ship. They took us in groups of 8 so there was a lot of individual attention. We had two dolphins that pushed us and pulled us through the water. Then we had time to swim with them around us and pet them. It was wonderful. The dolphin swim is different than the dolphin encounter. On the encounter all you can do is pet them. Well worth every penny.

Like vl, we swam with the Dolphins in Chank. Park last September. It was an experience of a lifetime! I booked through dolphindiscovery.com. No problem at all. I booked on my own because the cruise ship we traveled on only had the dolphin encounter, not the swim. I had already done that another time in FL, so I wanted to do the swim. My husband enjoyed it thoroughly and said it was the highlight of the trip. You'll really love it.
