Charging for specialty coffee

I read on another board that on the Star Princess (and it appears to be only this ship), there is a charge now for espresso and cappuccino in the dining rooms. Looks like they're throwing this out there to see if it floats (pun intended). Frankly, Princess coffe leaves a lot to be desired and we looked forward to cappuccino each evening after dinner. Any one else hear about this little test?

I've read the same thing. Sailing on the Grand on the 14th and will report back what is going on there. Like you, I've always enjoyed my after dinner cappucino so much!

Was on the Sun Princess July 28 and they weren't charging for Cappacino. Personally, I like Princess' coffee.

My wife and I were in the Golden in July and they did charge for specialty coffee in the dining room. I was surprised because I had been led to believe that it was available during dinner at no charge. I know that on Holland American, Costa and RCCL that was the case. I was in the Personal Choice dining room so it might have been different in the traditional dining room.

Happy cruising.
