Charles Update - Week of Nov. 15th

ShipMaven

Forever Remembered
Just got off the phone with Charles. His voice sounds stronger. He thinks a lot depends on insurance rather than anything else, but he *may* be able to go home the end of this week or next.

He was having some issues today with low blood pressure/dizziness. His pressure had been high, but when it was low this morning, they didn't give him his blood pressure meds nor would they do any PT.

I wasn't aware until now that Charles suffered head injuries as well - had stitches at the back of his head as well as on an eyelid. His glasses had been smashed.

Next week, stitches will be removed - sutures on his leg, staples on his head.

As ever, he appreciates all the well wishes, prayers, cards... It's difficult for him to get to a computer, but know that he's grateful.

And I'm very grateful to hear that he is recovering and could be home for Thanksgiving. That's certainly something to be thankful for. Of course, prayers continue for as complete recovery as possible.

That's good news. I think the healing process really begins when you get to return to the comfort of your own home. Thanks for the update.

Thanks MaryAnn for keeping us updated. Glad to hear the great news about Charles. I wondered about the head injury just from the things that were posted. Guess that comes from being an ER nurse. LOL. Sure hope he can be home for Thanksgiving. Susan

Thank you Mary Ann for keeping us updated on Charles.

Sorry to hear that he had even more injuries other than the leg.
