We are lloking to book the Celebrity Summit next Feb 28 and were wondering if there are many children at this time of the year. We are rellay trying to avoid a cruise filled with kids. They might be cute to their parents but for us the fewer the better. Thanks.

We were on the Infinity over Easter and the ship had a record 500 plus kids on it. Such a number might be normal for a Carnival or RCCL cruise, but it was very high for Celebrity. However, the staff kept them pretty busy and we found it to be no problem. We're empty nesters who like our quiet also...if the kids had been a problem at all we would have noticed. I'm sure if you go on Celebrity during a non holiday time the number of kids will be much much smaller than that.

Celbrity does have those "Adult Cruise" no kids under 21 (?) Not sure if they would have one in your time frame but you might inquire..

WE too like to stay clear of scads of kids, but some are certainly ok. Our last cruise was Celebrity ove Thanksgiving week. We had no choice, grand kids (high school and college) were out for break. Anyway the ship was loaded with kids, but with rare exceptions they did not bother anyone. There was a family down the hall with about 4 kids. On occassion, while they waited for the elevator right outside our cabin things got a little noisey and I got a bit testy, but other than that everything went great. Late Feb should be pretty clear of kids. Spring breaks don't normally start until March and any winter breaks are normally over by then.

Feb. 28th should be fine for you because it is not a school vacation. However, the week before that is President's week. Here in NY the kids are out of school the whole week. My family and some good friends are booked on Summit that week for the 10 night Ultimate Caribbean cruise, ( we have four kids between us). If you book for the 28th think of us getting off as you are getting on! Happy cruising!

We tend to avoid late Febuary through March and early April as the times for spring bread seem to vary widely throughout the US. Of course, if you are looking at a 10+ day cruise, there will be few children on most of them.
