We are thinking of going on Celebrity with our Neighbors and they have a son who will be 3 by the time we would sail.

What does Celebrity offer for kids?

What are the rules on potty training?

Is there some activity for the kids so parents can enjoy dinner on formal night?

Thanks

Celebrity's kids activities are among the best. Our kids love them. That said, on the Horizon and Zenith, there is not a kids facility, so I would stick with the Mercury, Galaxy, or Millie class ships. They all have great Fun Factories. Kids must be potty trained, and there are activities and dinners planned for fomal nights so that parents can have a night out. They also offer after-hours "sleep overs" for an additional charge so that you can use the clubs later (not really overnight--'till midnight, I recall). You won't regret using Celebrity--very family-oriented, and the W. Carib itinerary is great for kids (lots of beach days). Have fun!

I'm already booked for HOrizon-do they have anything available for young kids? Thanks!

Horizon and Zenith have kids programs in season, but no permanent "fun factory" facility like on Century and Millenium class ships. Depending on the age of the kids, that may or may not be a big deal. For our kids, it was--lotsa fun time there.

Just getting back from the Century with our 11 yr old. He said many times he didn't have anything to do (which is unusual since he's a very busy outgoing boy) and he didn't seem to spend much time in the "fun factory" since their activities were "boring". I think most of the problem was we were at sea for sooooo long it's hard to keep kids entertained for that long. He enjoyed his time in port snorkling and touring around.
