Choosing either the Glory or Legend?

Thought I had decided on the Legend because I loved the 8 day Belize, Costa Rica and Panama itinerary. Now I read about the wonderful food on the Glory and saw the great pictures. It looks so colorful. So confused because the Legend looks a little subdued and brown to me. Need opinions soon from someone that has done both ships. I know the Glory just started cruising so I will hang in there a couple of weeks before booking either. What's more important? the ship or the itinerary???

Sailing on both, but not until 2004 :grin Did the itinerary you mentioned on the Spirit this past February and it was really great -- check out my review on this site. The Legend is a newer ship that is smaller, the Glory is brand new and much bigger. Maybe some Legend sailors will post here, and it is possible that someone has sailed on both!

Just returned from 8 days on Legend. It's a gorgeous, brand new ship also, but you're right about the color scheme. Pewter, bronze, peach, green. Urns everywhere! We loved the ship, though. Found it easy to navigate, lots to do, plenty of deck space, plenty of storage in our room, nice restaurant and buffet, awesome supper club. We loved the layout of the Avalon pool. There's a wall, then a tile area where the water overflows onto. A great place to sit, sun, and cool off.

Feel free to contact me if you have any ship questions. Our itinerary was not the same. We did San Juan, St. Thomas/St. John, Tortola/Virgin Gorda, out of NYC.

I have sailed on Legend and Conquest (Glory's sister) and both are fabulous ships. I would sail either one of them again in a heartbeat. I think you will find the food quality to be the same on both of them. If colorful decor is important to you, maybe go with Glory as Legend is less colorful, but certainly ornate and in keeping with the "Carnival-look".

You won't be disapponted with either ship. They are both great. :)
