Is it worth the extra $$ to eat at Choppes Grill? We'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary and don't mind spending the $$ if it's worth it. Please advise.

I thought it was on Mariner of the Seas back in 2005. I had Fillet Mignon, steamed asparagus, grilled portobello mushrooms and artichokes, all in that one meal.

We just ate in Chops on the Serenade of the Seas, and it was well worth it. The special attention, OUTSTANDING food, ambiance ..... their attention to detail is quite impressive.
It's an evening of dining - and they pass asparagus, mushrooms, potatoes and a lot of other sides as family style. It's wonderful and worth the extra cost.

I agree with the other posts. The best meal I ever had on a cruise (and I have been on 19) was Chops Grill on Navigator of the Seas. WELL worth the price.

If you take me serious, it's your problem
well, you figure if you dine out at a local steakhouse you'll easily spend 50-100 for a dinner for two. If i'm not mistaken, the "extra" charge is 30.00 per person, which would be 60.00 for a dinner for two. A little more if you include alcoholic drinks, etc.. So the price is definitely comparable.

I've looked at the menu and it seems as if they offer huge portions for that extra fee... i think the porterhouse steak is like 28oz. or somethink like that... the filet is like 12oz i think so yeah, i think it's worth the extra price. Most of the reviews i've read both here, and other sites, are generally in agreement that the food is quality( USDA "prime" cuts), served to your specifications, the attentiveness of the staff is exceptional. So the only question is.. can you reserve the dinner before it sells out??

Totally worth it. I prefer Portofino but Chops is worth it too. $50 for two people and as mentioned it would be that price for one person at a normal steakhosue. Whenever I go on a cruise with either one of these places I make sure to go.

Short answer: yes!
Fantastic food, fantastic service.
If you go to a ship with Portofinos, do try that too, amazing food and service also in the Portofinos.
Can't wait to get to the Chops on the Oasis.

This is a question only you can answer. If you like steak and are willing to pay a little extra for it, then yes it is worth it.

However, the question is, is it worth it to YOU?
