Somewhere I just read that Micheal`s Club is no longer a cigar lounge if this is true it will break my husband`s heart, he was really looking forward to a cigar and cognac with no one making remarks about his cigar smoke. If this is true is there anywhere on ship where he can smoke his after dinner cigar in peace?

It is true. The majority (not 100%) of the Michael's Clubs (cigar bars) have been converted into Piano Bars with no cigar smoking allowed. The alternate location to smoke is at the Teak Bar outside the Ocean Cafe area. There is a bar in this location, so he may be satisfied but the atmosphere is definetly very different. I am a non-smoker and love the Michael's Club.
Bon voyage

This is not totally correct. I would double check. I just got off the Mercury and Michaels was still a cigar bar. It is on deck 8 and my table mates had cigars there every night.

The M-class ships have Michaels Clubs as a piano bar and the older ships still have Michaels Club as we remember them. We always loved Michaels clubs..... but, from a business standpoint, they were not used heavily so the conversion was necessary.

We liked the conversion on Millennium except that there were only three smoking tables near the entrance and they were always full.
