Cocktail party and pool water question???????

Just was wondering if anyone knew about the returning guests cocktail party usually held on carnival ships. Our travel agent says there isn't any offered anymore?????

And also, we are booked on the canada/new england tour Sept 13th on Carnival Victory. I understand there are two pools, one is covered. Is the pool water heated? I would suspect that if it is, it would be the covered one????

Thanks for your help.

I might consider getting a new TA. Carnival has a past guest party on all sailings 5 days or longer.

We've sailed the Victory twice. For the second trip we did the four day NYC to Halifax in July two years ago. The aft pool on the Victory is the one with a sliding roof. That pool was definitely not heated when we were on her. They slid that roof open, and closed multiple times during the intermittent drizzly days of that trip. We swam but not much. It was chilly.

I was on the Victory Aug 18 - 23. I attended the returning guest party.

There are actually three pools. The aft pool (the one with the cover) is called the Sireins pool. The middle pool is on the Lido deck and is called the Triton's pool. The forward most pool (the one next to the water slide) is called the King of the Seas pool.

I only went in the Triton's pool. The TV said it was 59 degrees. It was a lot closer to 90 degrees than it was to 59 degrees.
