I am cruising in a couple of weeks on the Navigator of the Seas. This will be my first time with Royal Caribbean and I was wondering if there are coffee makers in the staterooms. If not, do you think I could smuggle a small one on board? Please don't laugh -- my husband says I'm downright scary until I get my coffee!!

They had them on the Mariner, so I would think they would have them on all their ships.

They do not have coffee makers in the stateroom, except for some of the higher priced suites...........

Coffee makers are prohibited............why not just order room service to be delivered first thing in the morning??? You can order 2 pots of coffee if need be.......there will be a door hanger with breakfast room service choices and the time frame you want it delivered.....
and after that you can get coffee 24/7 if need be..........

RIGHT FROM WWW.RCCL.COM

Q: What items are not allowed onboard the cruise ship?

A: Aside from the obvious (and illegal) items not allowed onboard, there are other items we cannot accommodate onboard.

Prohibited items:

Candles
Coffee Makers
Electrical Transformers
Flammable Liquids and Explosives (such as fireworks)
HAM radio equipment
Hockey sticks
Illegal Drugs
Irons
Personal Alcohol
Skateboards
Surfboards

Thanks to all who responded. I will do the room service thing.

I'm surprised at the "prohibited" list because not only did our stateroom have a coffee maker on NCL, but it also had an iron! Go figure!

But thanks so much for everyone's input!

Hi Balconygrl,

I was on the Explorer of the Seas in November and I'm 99% sure our ship didnt have any in-room coffee makers. Our room didnt. They do have free "Seattle's Best" Coffee available 24/7 in their Promanade "SnackShop". I wouldnt recommend bringing a coffee maker, they could be a fire hazard.

Hope that helps :)

I am glad they don't allow those things. I wouldn't want to have to swim with the dolphins because someone burned the ship down because of a coffee maker. There is no additional charge for room service. But what I did is sneak down to the Lattetudes and treated myself to a cappichino. Each time she saw me she knew my name and what my usual was!
There are many options to get that coffee.
