Comments on taking Veendam to S. America and Antarctica?

Hello all,

I am considering taking the Veendam on a 20-day cruise to South America and Antarctica this coming December. Just wanted to see whether anyone had any comments on the Veendam or on this particular route.

Thanks!
Bubba

Have not done your particular cruise.

But have sailed on the Veendam -- before her refit this past spring.

We loved the light color of the Explorations Cafe. Not certain if we would like the new Retreat on the aft that replaced the pool OR the Mix Lounge which replaced the Piano Bar and Casino Bar.

Hi lorrainev and bubbaabdul ,,, if you take the Veendam , i know that it will stop in Puerto Madryn. SO if you need infomation about what to visit in Puerto Madryn or in all Patagonia ask me. I live in Puerto MAdryn and i am a tour guide so i have information.. Here you have several options but the most important are to Peninsula Valdes, where you will see animals in their natural range and depends on the time perhaps come to see whales. The other option is PUNTA TOMBO which will see nearly 1 million penguins walking among the people, are charming.
