We are doing cc on two Mercury cruises coming up.  It's worth it for that ship  because otherwise no balcony cabin.  We will also get two credits for Cap Club.  On other ships I would hesitate because you can get a nice balcony cabin on  a lower deck & it is more costly.....While last poster prefers Royal--we just were on Brilliance & although we liked it  quite a bit (surprisingly good to excellent food) we felt the Celeb experience is much finer--less tacky stuff & less children for sure! Guess it's personal taste & we cruise both for variety of ships & itins....
