You know Jim, I wish they would have a Concierge Club Room like RCCL has with free drinks and hors d'oeuvres. I loved that on the Voyager.

I'm kinda curious if the onboard credit is based on the total cruise fare for two persons, or just that portion of the fare that is associated with the individual concierge club member. In other words, if the total fare for two persons is $2000, would the 25% onboard credit be $500, or $250, assuming that only one of the guests is a member of the club?

cruisefare is based on the cruise portion of the price.. not the port and government taxes.
We just got off the Liberty where our total fare was 388 but after taxes and port charges we only paid less then 200 for our cruise fare. (i think it was 149.00) so 15% of that would be like 18 bucks.

I wander why they dont offer so many points based on total dollars spent. It is all about money, profit vs lose's. Bring in more money and give a little in return. jmho.

Carnival is one of those cruiselines that dont have a price across the board. People who booked many months in advance will pay a lower amount compared to the people who book closer to the date.
Now the OBC will be more for those people than the people who book early. (I'd rather pay cheaper amount

that maybe true in most cases. As my wife and I book a cat 11 or 12 we do not get a price break if we book early. We will book up to a year in advance to get the cabin we want. A point bases will work for the cruise line as well as the cruiser. We do a cruise a year yet spend as much if not more than a person who might do 2 or 3 cruise's a year. I am just saying baseing it on a dollar per point instead of how many cruise's might get the purse strings opended a little more. I carry about 15 point cards at any given time, hotels fuel bookstores and resturants, I do use and spend more money at these places if I have a choice just to get the points to use at a differnt time. On my hotel cards I have enough points on 3 of the cards for at least 6 free nights, again I spend my dollars at these places to keep getting the points.I believe Carnival would see an increase of dollars spent per cruise to go among the steady cruisers as well as seen a larger return. ahh, i see your point. Yes, I agree that a person who books suites should get a different amenity point then someone who keeps booking inside cabins.
As it is== it is only based on how many cruises you took. Where now-- if a person who took a cruise to nowhere for a weekend has the same amount of cruises booked as a person who takes the 15 day south america cruise.
