that maybe true in most cases. As my wife and I book a cat 11 or 12 we do not get a price break if we book early. We will book up to a year in advance to get the cabin we want. A point bases will work for the cruise line as well as the cruiser. We do a cruise a year yet spend as much if not more than a person who might do 2 or 3 cruise's a year. I am just saying baseing it on a dollar per point instead of how many cruise's might get the purse strings opended a little more. I carry about 15 point cards at any given time, hotels fuel bookstores and resturants, I do use and spend more money at these places if I have a choice just to get the points to use at a differnt time. On my hotel cards I have enough points on 3 of the cards for at least 6 free nights, again I spend my dollars at these places to keep getting the points.I believe Carnival would see an increase of dollars spent per cruise to go among the steady cruisers as well as seen a larger return.
