[Scrapbook Lady]

Had a long day yesterday so I didn't get a change to check on Connie. I called today and she didn't answer the phone so I called the nurse.

Connie is still on dialysis, and will be as long as she is at the hospital. The nurse said that she is not up to taking phone calls, and described her as lethargic. She knows where she is and what day it is but has no energy and is a little depressed. Her antibotics are working because she is taking one by mouth. She is also having trouble eating. She had some lunch but no dinner. She will be in the hospital for at least several more days. She will then be transferred to a rehab center.

Not good news. Sad to hear this. Next time you speak with her, please pass on our concerns. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Sounds like she is depressed and I don't blame her! At least some of the meds are working. A card that I sent her was returned as it was addressed to a room that she had been moved from. Prayers continue for a good end soon.

Thanks Scrapbook Lady. I can imagine she IS depressed, anyone would be after being in hospital for so long. Maybe you can smuggle Simey in for a cheering up? Prayers continue for our gal.

I too wish the news had been better, I bet she is drepressed, who wouldn't be after all she has been through.
The last card I sent was also returned, so I will wait until she gets tp rehab befoe sending another.
