There will be three of us on this trip. Me, DH, and 16yo DD. My TA said that all balcony rooms have a sofa bed. In looking at deck plans, some have a * and says single sleeper sofa, others have nothing, and some have a square and says single sofa sleeper and top bunk. Do only the * cabins have the sleeper sofa? Sould I be safe and book a cabin with a square? Where does that bunk pull down from (over the twins) I am asking this, because on one cruise, our daughter had to sleep on a cot on the floor and she didn't like that. Thanks in advance!

Breathe easy... the Conquest has NO rollaway's (cots) on board!
I am not sure if all the balcony rooms have a sleeper sofa, but the ones with a * care supposed to. Carnival will book your group of 3 in a room designed for 3... in this case, one with a convertible sofa. You can bet that they will "save" the rooms (ones with the square) that will fit 4 people for an actual group of 4 (more money!).
But, be advised, the *'s and squares are not completely accurate on Carnival's Deck Plans (from personal experience).
I would suggest getting the final word directly from Carnival. Call their 800 number, and ask these questions. They will also tell you which cabin numbers are still available. After that conversation, you should have all the answers you need to be able to call your TA back, and tell them specifically which cabin you want to be booked in.

P.S. If you book TODAY, ask for booking code "COC1" and you get, on certain sail dates, $200 excursion credit per cabin!

Depending on when you are sailing-- you might not be able to book a cabin that holds 4 people if there is only 3.

a 16 year old might be more comfortable on a upper bed then the sofa sleeper. Its a convertible sofa-- meaning the back comes off to make a bed. (thats the extent of the room on the sofa.)

there is a double convertible sofa that pull out to a bed--but these are located on the spa deck and are cat 6E

stars have a sofa
little round dots have a upper bed.

your agent is also wrong with the statment that ALL balcony cabins have a sofa bed. NOt all sofas make into beds and NOT all cabins have a sofa. Some have only a chair and a small tble. (its stated as a sitting area.) (especially on the Conquest class ships)

Okay, so all * have a sofa bed, and the others have a convertable sofa. The squares have an upper and convertable sofa. Thanks for all your help!

no-- the stars are for convertible sofa beds. anytime you see a star that cabin does have a soaf that "converts" into a bed.

Book cat. 11 or 12 and you will be guaranteed that the cabin will acommodate at least three people!

From experience, if you have three in your party, Carnival will book you in a cabin that will hold at least three. And not all balconies will hold three people. As stated before, The conquest does not have roll aways. Hope that helps :)
