Hey Rembrant,
There is a Holiday Inn almost across the street from the RiverWalk where the ship docks. My wife and I stay there for Mardi Gras and it is reasonable. We also have stayed at the Embassy Suite Hotel around the corner on Julia street and liked it better. It too is reasonable. They are both walking distance. Rooms are around the $100 range I think. The Saints are in town August 28th, Sept 14th and 28th, Oct 12th and 26th. We are cruising the Conquest August 24th. Hope this helps.
