All I can tell you is that if you want the partition opened, ask your room steward immediately. I've read that on some Carnival ships, they open the door, and use some kind of hardware to bolt it in the open position. The amount of hardware available is limited, therefore the number of cabins that can have their partitions open is also limited. Which is why some people get a yes answer, and some get a no, when they ask to have it opened.I don't know if this is true of all the ships, or even specifically for the Conquest, but is for some. So be forewarned to make that first on your list of "to do" 's when you get to your cabin.
