In Grand Cayman we have really enjoyed Captain Marvin's Stingray City excursion, and we also love Chankanaab Park in Cozumel. Thsoe are my two favorite places to cruise to. We did not care for Montego Bay. I would not even bother to get off the ship in Montego Bay.

I have a Montego Bay suggestion. You can take a cab to Rose Hall Beach Club. It was about $60 round trip. A van works out to less per person if you have a large group. The beach cost $8 per person which includes chairs and floats. There are restrooms and shade. Food is available but, expensive. Drinks are about the same as onboard maybe less.

For Montego Bay, Go to www.barrettadventures.com

Hire Carolyn Barrett to pick you up from the dock. Drive you to Rose Hall Beach where she will stay with you and lend you her snorkel gear. Then have her drive you up into the hills to show you the real Jamaica. Then have her take you to a "no hassle" craft market where she knows the vendors personally. Then have her take you to a local favorite "Jerk Stand" for great Jamaican food. Then have her take you to Margaritaville for a margarita. Then back to the ship. Total time will take about 6 to 7 hours.

She will charge you between $200 and $240 for the day. She can take 12 people so find some new friends on the web or on ship and split it 12 ways. It was probably our favorite port because of Carolyn Barrett.

I cringe when I hear people complain about Montego Bay when you can have the time of your life but you need to research and find things out.

Good Luck.

In Montego bay we did Dunn's River Falls through Carnival and it was great fun.
In Grand Cayman we did StingRay City with Captain Marvin also. Agree withsunshine that it was wonderful. In Cozumel we did a dolphin swim at Chankanaab Park that you cannot book with Carnival. It was awesome! We were at the park all day and it is a beautiful way to spend a day. Very relaxing, and the water was great for snorkling. You can rent gear there for only $6.

We really enjoyed Croydon in the Mountains on Jamaica. It is a working coffee plantation and you see a lot countryside going and coming. The tour van offered to take us shopping for a few bucks extra, after they went back to the ship to drop off those who didn't care to go to town. I wish we had got off then too. Nobody was really rude or threatening, but it wasn't hard to imagine they could be. We especially liked Chaankanaab on Cozumel. It was just like I pictured a tropical island beach resort. I don't think you could go wrong on Grand Cayman or Cozumel if you pick something that you enjoy, or sounds interesting to you. I would stay with the group on Jamaica. I wanted to go to a pharmacy to get some cough syrup and the tour guide insisted on accompanying my wife and I, as it was outside of the "safe zone".
