We really enjoyed Croydon in the Mountains on Jamaica. It is a working coffee plantation and you see a lot countryside going and coming. The tour van offered to take us shopping for a few bucks extra, after they went back to the ship to drop off those who didn't care to go to town. I wish we had got off then too. Nobody was really rude or threatening, but it wasn't hard to imagine they could be. We especially liked Chaankanaab on Cozumel. It was just like I pictured a tropical island beach resort. I don't think you could go wrong on Grand Cayman or Cozumel if you pick something that you enjoy, or sounds interesting to you. I would stay with the group on Jamaica. I wanted to go to a pharmacy to get some cough syrup and the tour guide insisted on accompanying my wife and I, as it was outside of the "safe zone".
