For Grand Caymen I'd definitly recommend swiming with the sting rays. I've heard that booking direct with Captain Morgan's is less crowded than the Carnival sponsored tour. As for Jamaica, I don't really know what to recommend. I've been on the river rafting tour which was ok for an older person like me. In my opinion, yes, Jamaica is dangerous & also the vendors will nearly drive you nuts trying to sell you something. Prices vary, so haggle with them for a good deal and you can come home with some inexpensive souvineers. Shopping in Grand Cayman is mostly for those who have a lot of money to spend, but there are many very nice shops.
