Constellation 8002/003 cabins?

Anybody have experience with these? They show on the deck plan as extending out beyond the balcony of the adjacent category 2-A balcony cabins by what looks like the depth of another balcony meaning a total of almost an extra 75 or so square feet.

Does anyone know what the extra space is used for? The deck plan does not specify but it appears there are only cabins like this: 9000, 9001, 8002 and 8003. I read here about other *non-standard* cabins but they referred to those that faced the bow.

Grateful for your help.

I booked one of these (8002) for the March 23 INFINITY sailing. They are in fact quite a bit larger then all other outside cabins. Not only does the interior space include the size of a regular outside cabin, but the space of a balcony and even a little more!

I heard from one person on Cruise Critic who sailed in cabin 9000 (same as 8002 but a deck higher). The cabin is quite long, and includes a sofa and two chairs + table. The rest of the cabin furniture is standard, but there is a lot of extra floor space which they appreciated. Bathroom and closet area is the same as any other standard cabin. Bed/s are located close to the bathroom wall, while the sitting area is near the large round window.

All in all, if you would rather have the interior space and don't care about a balcony, these cabins are a win, win.

I'll be sure to take some pictures of the cabin when I'm onboard.

For the first time, I don't even want an upgrade (unless it's a suite of course! :)

Best,
Ernie
