My wife and I recently booked a 9 night Eastern Caribbean from Cape Liberty ( in NJ.) to San Jaun. We got what we feel ws a very good price on an internet site that we have used in the past. For an interior cabin it was $650pp. Has anyone seen our gone on this Intinerary before. It is: Nj,at sea, Charleston SC, at sea, Nassau, St thomas, St Martian, at sea and San Juan. We will be sailing on the Constellation in Nov. 2005. Any info on this intinerary, the ports, and the ship will be greatly appreciated. We have sailed on the Carnival Triumph and the RC Navigator of the seas. We were very happy with both. We did feel that RC was quite a bit nicer however. If anyone can compare the following to Celbrity it would also be very nice. We can't wait to go. Thanks for your input in advance.

If you liked Carnival & RCCL, you will LOVE Celebrity! Much, much nicer. The Constellation is an excellent ship with a wonderful crew. Enjoy!

I must echo the same comments. You will absolutely love Celebrity and the Celebrity way of doing things. Compared to the mass market cruise lines you have sailed, you will feel that you just went from coach to first class. You do have some great ports but it all depends what you are looking for. I tend head directly for the beach in most ports, but save for shopping for St. Thomas.

I sailed on the Constellation over Thanksgiving last year, and we loved it so much we are already booked for Thanksgiving this year. You must book one night to have dinner in the Oceanliners Restaurant. Dinner there is 5 stars and is worth the $30 extra. Also, try the spa therapy pool area. You must be over 18 to use the pool and hang out in that area. Very relaxing because there are no kids or loud people. They also serve lunch there so you can spend all day by the pool.

Itinerary sounds interesting. I sailed the Explorer, Navigator's sistership. Haven't sailed Carnival. I thought what I experienced on the Explorer was an amazing cruise, and I like it as much as Celebrity but for different reasons.

Celebrity is all around more polished in service. I think compared to RCI there's more formality overall on the ship. Like both lines they use an international crew. It will be a more mellow cruise, RCI and Carnival both stress more activities and fun, Celebrity is a slower pace, stressing more presentation and service.

Simo, this is the first time this repositioning cruise is being offered. They might do it in reverse next Spring, but you'd have to wait and see. Repositioning cruises are usually very much discounted. The different embarkation and debarkation ports are a problem for many cruisers, i.e., where to park the car. You will love the ship. We've been on her twice in the Caribbean. Service, cleanliness and food are top notch!

Simo:my name is michael and my wifes name is geri.we too are sailing on the constellation on 11/10/05.this is a great ship that i heard from friends.we too booked thru orbitz.com however we received asuper of a deal on a suite with a butler service.it cost us 900.00 eachplus insurance plus the butler service.today if u look at orbitz.com you will see that this cabinnow goes for 2000.00 each.therefore we saved alot of money.we like to party alot and have some sociable drinks with others.we are in our early 60's and make time for lots of fun and sailing too.we like to eat gourmet foods and this ship has it all.to let you know that last 6/12/04 we sailed on the carnival miracle to bahamas 7 days from new york.it was lousy and terrible the food.real bad.service was great however no choice of dining here.we were promised an upgrade to a better cabin from inside to outside, they lied to us and this was booked directly with carnival staff.if you like to talk more about this cruise you can e mail me at smromeo341@yahoo.com.we live in long island new york and it seems that i have to pay alot of money here to get to the ship in new jersey.regards michael

Hi

My Name is Rod. (from Mays Landing NJ) and I echo most ot the comments in response to your inquiry... My wife, my son, and I Flew from NY (Jet Blue) and boarded in San Juan for a 7 day southern carib cruise this past Spring.. My Second time with Celebrity (first was on Century).

We really enjoyed the ship! We did RCL's Radiance of the Sea in Spring of 04 on the Western Carib itinerary. Have Previously been on the Century and the Splendour of the SEAs.

My only complaint on the Constellation was the buffet arrangement... Linesat times.. The Radiance has smaller buffet islands and the food was more accessable. As fall As quality, I thought both were great..

Was had a veranda suite on deck seven amidships.. nice ride...(relatively calm seas)

Check out the Spa Salid bar at the front pool for light lunches, and make sure you scout the buffet area thoroughly at breakfast... (side-Rear of ship etc... lots of choices available...
Have a great time! We did.
