Coral or Brilliance for Teenagers?

Lots of experience with cruising, but no experience with kids... we don't have any, but we're going with a couple who does, a boy 15 and a girl 13. It's between the Coral Princess and the Brilliance of the Seas on a RT Panama Canal itinerary. Anyone know which would be better for kids that age? Thanks.

Coral is new, but I just got off the Brilliance and it would be wonderful for kids of all ages. Look for my pictures from 1-13-03. It is truly a great ship. You won't go wrong with her.

IMO I would think both ships would probably both offer about the same for kids of that age. So I would not let that influence your choice of ships. As John said both ships are fairly NEW and offer a Gr8 cruise atmosphere. Good Luck!!!

Just got back from the Coral (haven't had time yet to write a review). There were very few children on board. We are in our 40's, and thought that the music and other entertainment seemed more geared to an older crowd than we hoped.

I've never been on Royal Caribbean, but from what I've read, there would probably be more to keep a teen interested.

The thing that the Brilliance has over the Coral is that there's a water slide. Our kids, although a bit younger, had a FANTASTIC time on the Radiance, which is the Brilliance's sister. The waterslide was their favorite thing. The kids' program counselors seem to have much more energy and excitement about them compared to Princess' counselors, which are good, but RCI's tend to be great. Also, the Radiance's rock climbing wall is a blast!

I think the Brillance would be better. I have been on Coral and Radiance and the kids would have a ball on Brillance ( so will all of you, its a fantastic ship )
