We are thinking of booking a cruise on the Coral Princess and understand that the showers in the mini suites are in the bath tubs. we have an elderly gent in the party who has mobility problems but is not disabled enough to qualify for a disabled cabin. Can anyone tell how high the side of the bath is, is it the same as you would find in an american hotel? Also are the bathroom in the normal balcony cabins the same size and style as on the Golden Princess? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, that I can't help you wth the height, ( I don't remember it exactly about the size of a normal one I think) but, when we took my mom - uses a walker, and also has mobility issues- on the Grand Princess, mini suite, we used the table from the balcony as a shower chair (after washing it with some bathroom cleaner that I brought with us). It was one of those white plastic ones and was perfect in the tub for her. As a back up, we bought one of the nylon folding chairs which we originally intended to use for that purpose. It was 9 dollars in Walmart and also would have worked. I am not sure it it would work for the gentleman in your group.

I had a mini suite on the Coral. I personally felt the tub were rather high and made a suggestion on the comment card to put a large walk in shower rather than a tub in the mini suite. Why not just book a HP Mini Suite?

I made the same comment about walk-in showers in mini-suites. My mom also uses a walker and could barely raise her leg high enough to get into/out of the tub. It was a painful experience.
