Coral Princess Question

Does anyone know if there's any difference in the Coral Princess staterooms that are part of the "bulge" in the center of the ship (directly under the radar domes in the photo)? I assume that the bulge is due to the elevators being near these cabins. Are the cabin layouts or size any different than same category "non-bulge" cabins? Are the balconies smaller than others? Any other advantages or disadvantages? Any/all information would be most appreciated!

In my research I've learned that the balconies in those areas are the same size from deck to deck--those in the bumped-IN areas get bigger as you go down, but also let the decks above look down "into" at least part of them. Check out the deck plans on Princess website for sizes.

The cabins on the bulge are the same as others in similar categories. The balconies are the same size as others in similar categories as well.

One difference is that most of the cabins on Caribe have bigger balconies because of the setback. But the ones in the bulge on Caribe have standard size balconies ...which is why they are a lower category than the cabins on either side of them.

Another difference is that the faces of the cabins on the bulge are all lined up; so that you don't have the balconies above overlooking the ones below like you would on the rest of the deck where the balconies are set back.

The cabins on the corners of the bulge are mini-suites, but they have smaller balconies than other mini-suites ...but they also are a lower category.

On Dolphin, there are a couple of Premium Suites on the bulges ...they have fully covered balconies, eliminating the "overlook" that the other suites on Dolphin have.

Seems like the only significant cabin advantage would be the Category AB Dolphin mini-suites on the corners of the bulge, as you'd get the same category as the ones next door, but the balcony would be covered instead of overlooked. You can see it in the picture you posted ...it's right above the bow of the lifeboat.

MPH .... Should have some =photo coming back when Mgram returns as she was successful in getting into C641. :grin From all the info I have previewed the cabin sizes are the same (212 sq. ft.) for an outside with balcony and the balcony sizes differ depending on the location. Hopefully Mgrams =photos will answer this myth on balcony size and cabin size. :thumb

I think you will find that the cabins are basically the same, with the exception of:

On Dolphin, several suites are in the bulge, check D423, D421, I got to peek into them as I went to my cabin last 10 days, they are outstanding, although I guess considered under the bulge.

The 'END' cabins on the bulge are larger, refernece B503, B431 and similar.
