Herb Costa Maya isn't really a village. It is a new area set up by the cruise line's for shopping and they have show's in the middle like a town square.They have thier own beach area which is not very big.The prices there are not as good as Cozumel or Play Del carmen, I think probably because it is a joint effort by several different cruise line's.They can control the pricing.It is sort of like going to a ship's private island only it is more geared to shopping.Hope this help's.
