Is there time in Puntarenas to take a day trip/catamaran to Isla Tortuga? The ship docks from 7 until 7, and the tour operators assure me that they will have us back to the ship NLT 6:00 PM, but I'm scared. Has anyone done the Manta Ray catamaran from Puntarenas, Costa Rica to Isla Tortuga? Please help......

Having no actual experience with the tour I can't give a positive answer, but rule of thumb would be, since sailing is 7 latest passenger bording would be 6:30, coming in from a tour that late would be close. As a safety factor, if the tour is offered by the cruise line, that would be the safe way to do it. If a ship tour is late, the ship will not sail until the passengers from that tour are back on the ship. If you are on your own tour and it is late, wave goodbye to the ship, if it is still in view that is.
