I will be going to Costa Rica in Feb on the Summit. Will I be able to get a cab and go to a nice beach
nearby?

Hopefully you're not going by yourself. It's a dang scary country right off the pier, and I know I'd have hesitated to hop into one of the cabs I saw waiting right outside the gates. Personally I think it's one of the countries I'd go with an organized tour of some kind- not necessarily a ship tour but one you set up in advance. If you're thinking nice beach I'd find one of those all-inclusive resorts and arrange transportation there. I'd heard Costa Rica was beautiful but you sure wouldn't know it when arriving on the cruise ship.

In Costa Rica there are beautiful beaches that you could visit when you get there, like Manzanillo or Cahuita National Park.

Both of these beaches are beautiful and you could see, wild life and white sand beaches. But in Puerto Viejo you could find a black sand beach.

There are lot places to go. If you need more information, email me I'll try to answear your cuestions.
