I will be heading a group of 10 guys on a bachleor party on Carnival in Sept '03 and one of the stops will be in Cozmel. Ive heard so much about this Carlos n Charlies and what it has to offer. Is all the hype true? We all grew up in New Orleans and we know a thing or two about partying! We are all in our mid to late 20's looking for things to do in Cozmel just in case Carlos n Charlies does not work out. We would definitly be open to some of the sites (other than the bars) Cozmel has to offer.....I dont think this trip will be ALL about the alcohol! Any suggestions?

Carlos & Charlies will be ALL ABOUT ALCOHOL!!! You should definitely put it on your list.....and let it be the last thing you plan to do in Cozumel...because after all those tequila shooters - you probably won't be able to do anything but stagger downstairs (and they are STEEP STAIRS), hail a cab and stagger on back to the ship!!!

It's a must see for a bachelor party..........

I also hear that senior frogs is a bit crazy at times. I will make sure that I mention it to my drunken friends! Thanks for the advice.

There are no longer steps at Carlos n Charlies, they have moved from their old location, this one is on the ground floor and has air conditioning (thank goodness). It is all it is hyped up to be!

You have nothing to worry about. C&C Cozumel is a rockin' place almost all the time.
(the only thing that you could have done better was schedule your party during spring break)
If it ain't happin'n there, it ain't gonna happen anywhere!

Anyway, Carlos & Charlies new location is now ground floor. You'll need to take a taxi from Carnivals new dock to them as it's a few miles and you will not be able to walk it once you are done. In fact, the trip from the taxi to the ship will be quite a challenge!
We were witness to several young fellows attempts to return to our ship which nearly resulted in them all taking a 'pier bath'.
Senior Frogs is upstairs of C&C and handles their overflow.
Lots of things can happen at Carlos & Charlies, most are heavily infuenced by the massive consumption of Tequilia there.

I believe that C&C is the leading cause of people missing their departure from Cozumel...............................

Yes, Senior Frogs is above Carlos & Charlies now.

If C&C is too busy, head upstairs to the Frogs.

When you get off the boat head to the taxis and say Carlos & Charlies please.

He'll probably know that anyway.

And take a good look at the photo.

Notice that the women outnumber the men about 10 to 1.

I hope that your group has the same luck that I did that day......................... ;)

I just returned from Cozumel on the Sensation. Didn't get a chance to go to Carlos n Charlies, but did get a chance to go to the Salsa Club, which is about 2 miles from the ship, definitely within walking distance. If you're on a bachelor party, you should check it out. A great strip club with lots of beautiful women

After you finally make it back to the pier from Carlos 'n Charlies, don't miss Friday's right at the pier. Great fun, drinking, dancing on the pole, laughing with your fellow cruise passengers, and everyone makes sure everyone makes it back to the ship on time without falling into the pier or knocking over glass in the shops along the way!

Happy cruising!

If they still do the Fiesta Party Boat excursion from the ship, I highly suggest taking that first THEN going to Carlos and Charlies. IF you're up to a day FULL of drinking. Two of my girlfriends and I did this about 3 years ago. The Party boat takes you to a beach (I believe it's called Playa Sol... or something like that, I was already blurry by the time we got there) They serve booze (and lots of it) on the boat ride over, while dancing and constantly pouring shots down your throat. They drop you off on the beach, bring the bar right on the sand and let you swim... NOT GOOD... but in the water is this HUGE inflatable iceberg with rock climbing on it, you climb to the top and jump off into the water... Another thing that is not good after a bunch of RUM............... anyway, when you're done, they drop you back off right by the ship... we went back on the boat to get out of our bathing suits and hopped a cab to C&C's where it is really ALL about drinking...... It was the best port we went to, at least from what I remember. But one word of advise, stay away from the edge of the pier, there really is nothing stopping you from falling into the water.... I came close :)

MAN!!! I could only wish that Sept would hurry up and get here. Thanks for all the advice, the strip club may be a must for a bachleor party and the "booze cruise" may not be a bad way to jump start the day! Did I read the one email correctly....girl to guy ratio 10-1!
OH Ohhh. man, this is going to get ugly.

That sounds great! How many of you are going on your cruise? My friends and I are doing a "Girly Cruise" every year. Last year was the first year and we sailed on the Fascination - and we had the BEST time!

This time we chose RCCL Enchantment - we're also embarking at Key West and so we're going to attempt to do the Duval Crawl. Unfortunately we dock around 7:00 a.m. and I'm pretty sure not a lot of bars will be open at that time. Oh well, at least we can see the island for a bit before the crawl!

Becki-
Its going to be exactly 10 of my close friends from New Orleans. I live in Orlando so they will be meeting up in O-town for a little Bon Voyage Party the night before. The cool thing with all this is that the biggest radio station here in Orlando that Im affiliated with has reserved 200 rooms and we are taking the show on the boat!! Not only am Im throwing a bachleor party, we are hosting listeners from Central Florida! Should be one big 4 day party!!!!!

As for your Key West adventure, I will be in the Keys in July for Lobster season and we are already booked for the Duval Crawl too, if you can provide me with you email address, i have a coupon for $10 off for each person in your group! I hear its insane!

Yup, pretty close, at least it was for us. Not only at Carlos & Charlies, but the entire cruise!
There were many groups of females, yet very few male.

Cozumel can easily get the best of you so be sure to prepare.
Eat plenty before you start visiting the 'watering holes'.
(at least that way you have something to evacuate once you start purging your system of Mexicos adult beverages)

Like Andrea A said, IF you are up to a full day of drinking start with the party boat.
She is also correct about the dock. One little wobble and you will take a pier bath!
In fact, Andrea A is 100% right, it's all about drinking!
The locals take pride in getting & watching the tourists get blasted out of their minds.

At least as far as I can remember.......................................... ;)
