Hello! We are going on the Conquest on May 9. We are trying to decide which beaches in Cozumel to go to. Our ages range from 3 1/2 yrs to 79 yrs old. 6 total in our party. We are thinking of renting a taxi driver for the day, does anyone know how much this would cost for a air conditioned van? We want nice pretty sandy beach, with good swimming, crystal clear water, we don't care to snorkel-or sunbath, hammocks would be nice, a place with drinks too. We are there from 10:30am to 6pm. We also want to shop before boarding the ship. We are thinking of Playa Palanacar for sure. Others we are debating on is Playa Sol, Chakanuub..park, Mr. Sanchos. We don't want to do "too much", don't want to be rushed, but would like to see a few beaches.

Also, can anyone recommend a great Seafood restaurant we could go to? We are not interested in Carlos and Charlies. Thanks for all your help!!

Anyone else leaving on May 9th?

Kimberley

Playa Bonita is a nice little place we visited on our own several years ago. We rented a chopped off VW and drove ourself. There was a little restaurant there and a nice beach and clear water. I haven't seen it mentioned on the boards, so maybe it is not so popular, but it was a nice little place.

Mr Sanchos is very nice also....we were there last summer. It's free and the beach is beautiful. Later on in the day they had a water trampolene and some other water activities. No hammocks, but fun swings at the bar!
