We are cruising on Carnival Inspiration 11/23...can't wait, second cruise and looking forward to it. Can anyone help me with what we should do in Costa Maya or Cozymel. There are going to be 3 couples, 26-31 in age, and we are looking for something fun but not touristy (is that a word?). I thought I had read a couple of reviews about a beach party type of thing, anyone know what I am talking about? Any suggestions would be great!!!

Costa Maya I have not been to yet, I will be there in April so I looking for info myself the best I can tell is it is just a beach at the pier or a Myan tour. Cozumel is alright dont expect any deals those are on the other side of mexico. I have found that Cozumel is good for partying. Unless you want to take an hour bus ride to the ruins. But those dont interest me. There is a nest mini golf course there if you like stuff like that if so let me know I will give you directions. It really depends on what you want to do.

We have been to Cozumel three times and will be there again in a couple of weeks. We did the Tulum tour the first time which I highly recommend. The Mayan ruins are awesome. However, wear a bathing suit under your clothes as there is a beautiful beach there where you can swim or cool off.
We did the Passion Island tour last year. This is very laid back. A bus takes you to a boat and you take a short ride to the island. A delicious lunch is served and all drinks are included for the day. There is a beautiful beach for sunbathing, swimming, etc. There are hammocks and volleyball available. A nice quiet restful afternoon.
I think we are going to Chankanaab Park in two weeks. I've heard a lot of good things about it with plenty to do. On our second cruise, we just got off the ship and shopped then got back on at lunch and stayed on the ship. There is not a whole lot to do except get some sun on the deck. The ship is pretty empty.

Cruisegirl What kind of food do they serve at the beach break? That sounds really good.

Without actually going and looking up my price sheets from the Jubilee I think the ruins are like $88.00 p/p and the beach break is like $28.00 p/p and the chankanaab park I think is $10.00 p/p plus cab ride. This is all off the top of my head nothing fact if someone doesnt respond with actual prices I will look and try to find my old price sheets.

It is a buffet with fish, chicken, and mexican food. The salsa was wonderful. The food was very good. I can't remember all the items on the "all you can eat" buffet but there was plenty of it. You get your money's worth. All drinks were included for the day.

If your group enjoys snorkling, check out Eagle Ray Divers to arrange a snorkling excursion for your group in Cozumel. They're about a 5 minute cab ride from where the ship docks. Chellie is great to work with and will provide you with a wonderful snorkling adventure. My son and I used Eagle Ray this past July for a dive trip and they were GREAT!!!

I was in Cozumel two years ago and we did a snorkel and beach break combination. we snorkeled for about an hour and then we went to a private beach for a few more hours. They had beach volleyball and non motorized boats. There were unlimited free beers and tequilla punch. The beach was great. The cost was about 35 dollars. Have fun in Cozumel its so much fun there. I'm going there in January with a group of 12 people in the same age group as you guys and I can't wait.
