Thanks for the review ! I actually have been reading up on the latest info about the Splendor. I read John Heald's blog daily as well. We have friends who actually just returned from a Splendor Baltic sailing, and they were very happy. I am not really concerned with food issues. This upcoming cruise will be my 7th Carnival cruise, and I have never found the food to be subpar ( and I am a " foodie " ). I'm sure there will always be something good to eat ! We are partial to Caribbean cruises... the tropical weather, sunshine, and warm, balmy nights on our balcony are really the top reasons for cruising for us.

As far as the decor is concerned... well, it's not a priority for us. Whimsical decor is always fun for me to see ! Our friends who recently cruised on the Splendor are quite friendly with Jaime ( the social host ...she is from our hometown ), and she says that due to many complaints from guests regarding the decor, they are planning to gradually change the glaring pink to a more mellow tone. In any case, I'm not worried about it " coloring " my cruise experience.

In any event, any vacation where the most responsiblity I have is getting to dinner or my port excursion on time is a great time !!!!
