We were are the Carnival Miracle this past June and the only time it was ever crowded was before and after dinner around the pictures.  So many people that we know that have taken Alasken cruises on other lines have complained about the crowdedness.  We go on vacation to get away from it all.  We even book all of our shore excursions on line so we aren't with bunches of people.
