I don't know about the ship at all. But Iv'e been to Hyder. 2 bars and that's it. Lovely spot at the end of an Inlet attached to the rest of the world by the Stewart Cassiar Hwy. Stewart BC is right there also. Old mining town. Last time I was there the border only had Customs and Immigration for Canada. Don't know what post 2001 has brought.
