Cruises from Miami, where to stay in Mia?

Ok so my friend and I may book a cruise out of Miami with Carnival. We live on the West Coast so we are trying to find a decent hotel near Mia airport to stay. One that maybe carnival can pick us up in the morning. Do you guys know of any hotels that are linked to Carnival for those traveling across the country?

We like the Holiday Inn 340 Biscayne Blvd. Miami. You can see ships across the bay. If your early a day or so you can walk across the street to the Market Place and spend the days or nights. Lots to see and do. Bands play at a stage on the Bay, lots of Food available, city tours, boat tours and lots more. Taxi's available to port at any time at a good price. We were there in Dec. and will be there in Feb. 44 days from now. Not that we're counting.
