Fantastic ship! This ship defies all of the Carnival stereotypes. The atmosphere is relatively subdued and quite refined. Just be prepared for the rather large statue of David in the alternate dining room. He is quite nude and quite intact if you get my drift. The food was great, entertainment superb, service fantastic. We did the western itinerary, so if you have specific questions feel free to email me.

we were cat 8G cabin 7162 rooms are very nice, if you put the beds together you have lots of room. by the way under the coauch there are 2 very large draws. we didn't find them untill days into the cruise. the bathroom is very much improved, balcony was great. if you have friends in the next cabin, take a butter knife and run it along the lock side of the balcony walls and it opens! take a bunggie cord to hold it open!

Hi Dawn... We were on the Pride Feb of this year, did the Eastern, and are going
again 2/1/03 and doing the Western. We loved the ship. We always sail with another
couple and split the cost of a suite. The prior posts are correct! She is a excellent ship
and the cabins are nice, the interior is much more refined than prior Carnival ships.
We were booked on the Victory but decided to go back and sail the Pride again. The
food, service, presentation were all excellent. Check out the spa area. We spent alot
of time just relaxing in the atrium area, nice bar there and great people watching. I
would say the passengers were alittle older but I noted thay all had fun. If you have
any questions please feel free to email us. Lee and Kelli

Rhonda- we are booking Pride (again) for May 3 cruise also. This makes about 10 cruises for me on Carnival, and my friend has been on 6. We enjoy meeting people so hope to see you around. She will be celebrating birthday (40!) and I hope she can find a single man on cruise to take her dancing! Me? just an old married lady trying to escape husband and kids!! We are from Florida, really enjoy our cruises! Went on Pride to Cozumel, Belize and Progresso in April. The ship is AWESOME!!! Cant wait to get our balcony cabin and mix a drink!

Betsy- Hope to meet you and your friend!!! If we do not however, tell her Happy Birthday and I will be celebrating wide open on the 7th. My kids are grown and taking care of my grand children...Don't spend lots of time with the husband, because of our scheludes, therefore this will be quality time for us..So..I am glad he is going..I probably could get into trouble if he wasn't going. well lets try to stay intouch and maybe we can meet for a drink on the 7th!!! We are cat. 8b, cabin 5265, close to the elevators on the upper deck..I hope that we can get upgrade to a suite for a small price more. Email me and let me know what type of $$$$ you spent on your cruise. I am still shopping. Take care

We just returned from cruising on the Pride. We did the eastern caribbean, and had a wonderful time. We sailed with two other couples. Had balcony rooms with slightly an obstructed view. (We were right above the life boats). That did not interfere at all with the views though. We also took a knife and opened the partions between balconies. So we had a nice long balcony. We also had our room steward open the refrigerator and remove what was in there and put in our own water and sodas. Our room steward was very accommodating. The service was great, the food was good, the entertainment was wonderful. Also the cruise director was both funny, talented, and very informative. The only weak point was the 45 minute tender over to their island with was Salt Cay.
