Hello All!

I am a 1st time cruiser and my 1st post on this site! We are planning on booking the celebrity century for a 5 day western caribbean cruise with our will-be 8 month old daughter. Any parents that have cruised with a baby, please add in any much appreciated advice! What room will best suit our needs and spacing? What extras can we expect to help us on board (or lack there of?) Any ideas and suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks!

Welcome 1st timer.

I have had no experience in this at all. (started crusin' way too late :) )

I'll ask in another forum for some help for you.
I've seen lots of happy kids and babies on cruises so I at least can tell you that it happens..

Enjoy our site

As for the ship, she's one of our favorites, and we'll be sailing her again soon. Plus, if you have Captain Rockstar, it is a bonus. He is so cool!

Cruising with an infant is tough. It will be hard to truly enjoy all of the things you will want to do because you will have the child to worry about or look after. When a child gets a little older, there are so many programs on board that you never see your child for all of the activities. I'm not saying that you won't have a good time, but on the other hand, I'm not sure of the reasons that you are taking the little one with you in the first place. Any chance that grandma and grandpa can't be recruited for a few days while the two of you go off and enjoy a fabulous cruise on a beautiful ship? Just a suggestion.

I'm sure if you contact Guest Relations with those questions, a qualified and experienced person can directly answer "traveling with an infant" question. As you can see, most of us have not! (although I am sometimes accused of being infantile)
