Are there curfews on the cruise ships for passengers 18 and under? ? I know that the teen discos close about 1:00 am. What is the general expectation with regards to teen curfews? Just curious. Thanks, Patricia

I've never encountered curfews on any of our cruises. I've seen a few places become either "teens only" or "adults only" after a certain time but never a ship "lights out" rule otherwise.

It would be nice if the cruise lines did have a curfew for those underage, but I have never seen one excpt for the disco (adult) and some late night adult comedy shows....but those curfews have been ignored by people who think they know better than anyone else. jmho

I disagree with the thinking that teenagers should have curfews on cruise ships. the majority of teenagers on cruise ships are well behaved. while there are exceptions to this...i promise you that just as many, if not more, adults on the ships are more obnoxious and offensive than the teenagers. the teenagers cant get drunk on the boats...the adults can....if you come across a rowdy teenager...simply call the pursers office and inform them of that....they will deal with the situation. it isnt fair to have all teenagers confined to their rooms after a certain time just because a few of them are rowdy. plus...just becuase teens are in their rooms doesnt mean that they are quiet....at least if they are on deck they arnt desterbing the sleeping people. just some stuff to think about....happy cruising.

We were just wondering what the expectation was on the ships as far as curfews. My children are very well behaved and are extremly respectful of others. I'am not concerned about their behaviour in the least bit. I was't sure if everything shut down at at a certain time of if they could hang out on deck after the teen club closed, or perhaps have a soak in the hot tub, etc.. Don't want ot rock the boat, if you know what I mean. Thanks for your thoughts. Patricia
