Dancing's a passion, a way of expressing your feelings, a way of bringing people together... a way of life. And now, more and more people are recognising it's also a great way of keeping fit in our sedentary life and times.

MSC Cruises is every bit as passionate about the beauties of dance as its most enthusiastic guests. Which is no less than you'd expect of such a typically Italian luxury cruise company. So one of its latest innovations has quite naturally been to create a choice of superb transatlantic cruises that place dancing firmly at the heart of each day's entertainment.

There are daily dance lessons at beginner and intermediate level to ensure everyone enjoys getting their feet round the right moves in a sweeping array of dances, from the Tango to the Mambo, Salsa, Samba and Cha Cha. Helping the fitness factor, each lesson begins with a warm-up and ends with stretching, adopting exercises specially selected to provide the most appropriate - and enjoyable - support.

But that's not all. There are workshops on the origins and special features of the different dance techniques, as well as beautiful dance shows that really get you in the rhythm.

Then, throughout each cruise, there are dance competitions that allow everyone at all levels to fully experience their progress and demonstrate their prowess, while of course having a ball at the same time.

And for the sheer fun of it, there are costume evenings at which you can dance your heart away to the tunes of everything from typical South American music to a super seventies revival.

In the same way that all this will bring you many new skills to take home with you, participating passengers will also be awarded a beautiful certificate upon completion of each cruise, testifying to their achievements in a memorable souvenir.

What's more, all of this is set in the context of an unforgettable voyage on one of the star ships in the most modern cruise fleet in the world. You'll be enjoying superb sports, leisure and entertainment facilities, accompanied by fantastic gourmet food and drink. And you could be exploring the famous sights of Tunis, Casablanca, Lisbon, Madeira and more, depending on which route you select to cruise in sumptuous comfort, travelling either way across the Atlantic between Amsterdam, Genoa or Venice and Santos or Rio de Janeiro.

The first of these special MSC Cruises dance cruises will be stepping out on MSC Opera from 26 October to 12 November 2009, followed by MSC Lirica, MSC Armonia, MSC Orchestra and MSC Musica all the way through to December 2010. So that whenever you can get away, you can dance your way across the Atlantic.
