Dawn Itinerary change

Just found out that starting August 24 the Dawn's itinerary will switch the stops at Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay around. Now stops on Thursday at the Cay from 8 to 6 and Friday in Nassau from 7 to 2. This gives more time at the island, but may mess up some people's plan for Atlantis visits.

Hi BigAl-

We're also cruising the Dawn on the 24th. I was thinking of going to Club Med for the day, but now that we have to be back on the ship by 2:00, that seems kind of pointless.... Any suggestions for Nassau for two families with two kids and grandparents?

I'm not sure about the private island. Reading mixed reviews from "beautiful, great" to "ridiculously crowded." HELP!

How are the public beaches in Nassau? Can you use the beach at the Atlantis Hotel?
Very excited about the cruise. Looking for recent reviews of the ship. Does anyone have a good website with some current reviews?

Thanks,

Musicmom

Bummer!! I'm sailing in November so it sounds like this applies to me too. Why would we want to spend more time on an island with nothing on it (except everyone else from the ship) than one with so many potential excursions. That makes no sense to me. Oh well. I hope I can still book an excursion to The Atlantis! That's one of the reasons I chose this particular cruise.

They are still showing an excursion that includes a walk through at Atlantis (but no use of beach or pool etc). I would imagine there are also private tours available at the pier. I feel sorry for all those people who paid out for day rooms at Atlantis or the Comfort Suites who may now not be able to get much use out of them. I see the arrival time in NYC is an hour earlier 9 instead of 10. That hour could be better used in Nassau possibly.

I WATCH HER COME AND IN EVERY WEEK AND SHE IS THE LAST CRUISE SHIP TO ARRIVE BUT USUALLY THE FIRST TO LEAVE THE PIER I THINK THAT NCL HAS OVER BOOKED WHAT THEY THINK THAT THEY CAN DO WITH THE SHIP IT SEEM LIKE RUSH RUSH RUSH AND THEY ARE STILL PLAYING WITH IT AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT PEOPLE WANT I THINK THAT THERE WILL BE MORE CHANGES BEFORE SHE SETTLES INTO A ROUTINE BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD CRUISE ANYWAY

Supposedly the new itinerary is their "winter" schedule. Maybe they are trying it out because it ends in November and they revert to the NYC-Canaveral-Miami-Nassau-Island route
