Hi,
I took the ferry in to the city on Tuesday. (It goes by our house). I took the one to Fisherman's Wharf that went by the Dawn. It is a very pretty ship. Quite a graceful bow. There were many people on the ferry going on the Dawn. My wife and I have too much luggage to do that but applaud those who do. We had lunch in Butterfly, a restaurant next to the pier. We could look out at the Dawn from our table. Very exciting. And the food was good as well. If you live in the area you may wish to go there for lunch the next time the Dawn is in. I talked to many people who were disembarking. They sais that there cruise was wonderful. They raved about the food and service. They said the ship is beautiful. They said the ports were fun but that it was hot and muggy in PV and MTZ. But it will hopefully be cooler when we get there.
This is my 6th Princess Cruise and my wife's 5th. We think that Princess keeps getting better and better.
She's been on about ten cruises and I've been on over thirty. It's obviously our favorite way to travel. As my wife says: "You unpack once and the hotel goes with you." One disembarking couple I talked to said that this was the first vacation they'd ever gone on when they took their clothes out of their suitcase!
