I have been looking online for a saturday night stay in san juan for Feb. The rates are crazy. Can anyone suggest a hotel and a website that worked best for them?

Thank.

If you're willing to stay near the airport in Isla Verde, there is a Hampton Inn that has decent rates. It's right across from the beach, but if you're leaving the next morning for the cruise, that probably won't be a problem. :grin It's also walking distance from the El San Juan or InterContinental, so you can use the casinos that night. There are also several restaurants and bars in the area =gulp

Just remember that you'll have to take the long taxi ride to the port which will probably run you about $17-$30 depending on how many people and bags. Not much you can do about that. =shrug

we just stayed last week at the wyndham Condado for 157 via cheap tickets. we took the earliest flight in and had the whole day ahead of us, read carnival destiny 9/26/04 review. Now the wyndham across the pier is convienent, but the Condado has excellent ground and faciliies for kicking off the pre day cruise including several pools with a swim up bar. taxi for two people 6 pieces of luggage was $15 from the airport to hotel and $12 to the pier, maybe have it backwards but is the same.

VERY satisfied but we chose the location for the facilities of the ocean and lagoon entry which includes a beach and several private lounging beach areas. it was breathtaking. check for web pictures for the destiny 9/26/04, some are up already. good luck

I recommend using Priceline. We got a Saturday night pre-cruise stay (10/9) for a bid of $100, after taxes came out to about $119...Maybe could have gotten it a little cheaper but I am pleased!:USA:AL

Hi.............Don't some of the cruise lines offer packages that include pre and/or post cruise hotel
accomedations for those cruises that leave out of San Juan?
What are your views on these packages?
The reason I ask is becuase we are thinking of going that way.
Opinions please..........................:)
