Decision made to rid cancer.

After lots and lots of options, I finally decided to use a technique called "Cyber knife". It's a really neat machine that looks like one of those robot assemblers in a auto plant. It is very precise and it will only take 5 days instead of weeks. I got gold seeds implanted today so the machine knows where to go zap.
The cure rate is excellent. And, since I caught mine early and it has not spread beyond the prostrate, all will be fine.
Found mine during normal screening and discovered my PSA numbers were up slightly.
Sure suggest all men watch the PSA numbers on their checkups.

All is fine with me and all will be well in the near future. It sure isn't taking away from our cruises.

Best wishes for you Art. Sounds like you have made a good decision.

My brother went through this a couple years ago, he's doing just fine now.

My husband had successful surgery for his prostate cancer last February. His was caught early as well. Keep reminding all your male friends that are age 30 and over to make sure they get that PSA and DRE. It could save their lives.

Prostate cancer is getting a much better prognosis now that men are aware and getting screened early. It's not an old man's disease.

I hope all goes well with your treatment and look forward to enjoying many many more cruises.

I'm so jealous Megamind. All I got were some dot to dot permanent tatoos where the radiation perameters would be, and some internal 'clips' left there from the surgery. Wish I had some gold! LOL

so glad that the procedure decision was finally made. Thank you so much for sharing with us all. This is so common, yet so very personal.
My prayer for you is to one day receive the same prognosis that I treasure, the probability of being 99% cancer free. YIPPEE

Hugs to you, Mariposa

Good luck with your treatment and may your road to recovery and wellness be smooth. I have to echo what Glo and Cricket mentioned. Medical science continues to astound me every day. :thumb :thumb

Oh Art, that's wonderful news, that it can be taken care of quickly. We wouldn't want anything to get in the way of cruising.
Best wish's to the both of you.

Art, watch those robots. You might end up with a hood ornament added in the wrong place.

How encouraging! I'm making a appt. today for my husband to be checked. It's always being put off. It's nice to hear a good report.
