Are you taking the cruise out of San Juan? Im going on the St Thomas,martinique,barbados and aruba cruise on August 31st. If this is yours, I guess I'll be taking the cruise right after yours.
I have been on a Carnival ship before.It's alot of fun. This time though, we are not packing as much b/c it is a waste of time. We spent most of our days in bathing suits and some exercise shorts or spandex on excursions where it involved water such as snorkeling. Bring an alarm clock which we are doing this time, masking tape in a funky color. Wrap the luggage in some of it so after the cruise you can get your luggage quicker (they put all the luggage in a big warehouse type thing and when you leave the shi[, you have to search for it.The tape will make it noticeable),Definitely get a massage. My husband and I did a couples massage. Pamper yourself, you are on vacation!Book excursions as soon as you can. Do not wait until the day before, they go fast!And the best advice, have fun!!!Any other questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you so much for your response. I am leaving the week before you. I am so confused my travel agent has not been that helpful and has made a few mistakes.
The advice is great, I was wondering if I should pack an alarm clock : )

I was on the Destiny 7/27/03 sailing....I just LOVED it!
I was trying to include my review on the Destiny 8/31/03 thread BUT my computer is not cooperating right now!
I will try again but would be happy to answer any questions in the meantime!
SweetP - I brought along a small travel alarm clock and I have it on my list of "things that made my trip".
I used it mostly for when I took an afternoon nap because I did not book early morning excursions. I stuck it in my bag and even used it out on deck when I was just relaxing so I would not miss my spa appts. etc.

Most new cell phones have alarms so you don't have to bring an alarm clock. I also used my cell phones on deck to keep spa appointments, but then I get questions like "your phone works?"
