Did I get a good deal on Caribbean Princess?

Being that this is the first time we have ever cruised, wanted to know if we got a fair price
We paid $998. each for a BA cat on Caribe Deck.

I apologize if I am being rude in discussing pricing. Just wanted a veteran's opinion.

Thanks

Dana,
Maybe you can go on Princess web site and order a brochure for the Caribbean. I think it would help you with a lot of your questions. Mine didn't take long to get here once I ordered it :thumb They are really very good to have handy :wave

Moonmullins/I checked a site I use for comparison..and found $838.00 for a BA on August 28th per person, now this is not with port charges etc, but that's what I quickly scanned..If you go to the top of this forum John has excellent tool sites to get cruise prices and comparisons and I'd say to try it for your own satisfaction.at the top their is a key link for "Competitive Quotes".. .Good luck..=welcome to cruise @ddicts..:)..Joanne

Ok, I'm feeling better. The price I listed was for port charges, insurance, tax, etc.
All this stuff is so new to me and I didn't want to break the bank on our first cruise.
I haven't even sailed yet and I am already hooked!
Dana, Have an excellent trip!
Cruise Cutie, thanks for the suggestion!

moonmullins, since everything you list here is included I think you will be very satisfied with the price you paid! You will come back believing, as all us cruise@ddicts do, that cruising is the best value for your vacation dollar! I just wish I had more dollars :grin

I wish we had more $'s too so we could afford to bring the whole family. But we earned this one after 20 years of marriage!!

You will have a wonderful time :thumb The price for your cabin varies from season to season and school holidays etc. but for when you are going and the fact that everything is included I think it is a very good price.Again have a great time

After 20 years of marriage a cruise is just the thing! I'm betting you won't wait that long for your next cruise.

Just a hint, if you think you're going to cruise again within a 4 year time period take advantage of Princess' onboard booking! It is well worth it!

Congrats on your 20 years of marriage. My bride of 37 years and I are taking our 'first cruise' thanksgiving week on the Golden, southern Carribean to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday on Thanksgiving. 6 other "crazies" are going with us to help :)

Heres hoping that your cruise will be as joyuous as ours and that you enjoy, at a minimum, 20 more years of bliss.

Moonmullins - Check with your TA. The price may have gone down. Because it's so easy to navigate, I use Cruise.com as a reference, and it's showing all Baja balcony staterooms for the 8/28 sailing at about $885 per person - and they're usually not the lowest around. Just a heads-up....

Thanks Al,
I sent an email to my TA yesterday. Our final payment is due June 1st, so I wanted to check before I forked over our hard earned cash. An another upgrade would be good too!

Thanks to the rest for the good wishes. Happy cruising on your anniversaries!

PS - I am the Mrs or as another posted put she you will be obeyed!!
