Thanks for your response.  I appreciate your points of view on the Inside Passage itenerary that does the round trip to Vancouver.  However, we've been more attracted to the Northbound/Southbound itenararies for a couple of reasons.  First, it seems like you'd see more on this type of trip, since there is no back-tracking that would result from the round-trip itenerary of similar length.  Second, we've read lots of wonderful things about College Fjord, and it really seems like we wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to see it. 

But, we'll certainly weigh your advice with all of the rest and make a decision based on a complete pros/cons list.
