Did you enjoy the Conquest?

I haven't been on the Ecstacy, but I have been on one of her sister ships...actually a few of her sister ships (Fantasy Class). The Conquest is considerably larger but still easy to navigate. I like the way they've decorated it, too. I don't know if the Rhapsady is anything like the Radiance...if it is...then there are places where it isn't quite so "open" on the Conquest. You would think that would make you feel more closed in but it really didn't...we always feel less "crowded" on Carnival ships. Hope this helps some.

I have never been on the Conquest but have been on her sister ships, the Glory and Valor. I have been on the Ecstasy and I can tell you that I much preferred the Glory and Valor. Those ships are newer and larger and I prefer that over the older, smaller ships. I was on the Ecstasy and just did not care for it at all. I didn't like the decor...very busy, it was pretty run down when we went and the food wasn't as good. Still had a great time though as I was with my daughters and friends. I'm sure that if you decide to go on the Conquest or any of her newer sister ships you will be pleased.

I've been on the Holiday Class, Fantasy Class, Spirit Class, and Conquest Class ships. I prefer overall, the Spirit Class ships. Conquest is at the bottom of my list along with Holiday class.

The Conquest is not easy to navigate through. You can't get anywhere unless you go to deck 5. It's almost like they funnel you through the shops and casino on that deck.

I just really like the Spirit class ships, they never feel crowded and the area for the shops is easy to get through. They have an outside promenade deck that goes almost all the way around the ship. They have 2 decks that have the casino, shops, show lounges, and bars. The galley is on the lowest deck so it doesn't interfere with anything. They just seem to have more room on them than the Conquest class ships.

At least that's my opinion.

I have been on the Conquest, Valor and Glory> The Conquest came in as my absolute favorite ship, The valor came in a very close second and the Glory came in third.

:waveI brought an iron but never used it. The laundry rooms had an iron and board an they were easy to get to. We personally were not impressed with the Conquest. I love Carnival cruises and maybe I had unrealistic expectations, knowing the Conquest would be the largest we've sailed. Don't get me wrong!, it was nice but bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. I found it hard to navigate at times. The Renoir dining room was in the middle and during dining time you would either have to go up or down a level to get to the other side. My favorite so far is Grand Princess, then I guess the Rhapsody. We've pretty much only cruised Western Caribbean and are ready to venture beyond. We've been to the Virgin Islands years ago.

ericaberica....the weather in April is wonderful! We have only cruised the Caribbean in the first week of April. I'm sure the whole month is nice. In all the time we have been it only rained once and that was in St. Thomas. It poured but it was still very warm out and we were on our way to St. John for a snorkeling excursion at Trunk Bay. By the time we got there the weather was great. The temps have always been in the mid to high 80's wherever we've gone.
