Dining questions

I've read a few posts that talk about "acceptable" attire. I'm going on a relaxing vacation, not to the symphony or to meet the President. I do not want to bring a suit or tuxedo. What's the deal? Is this talk about some "special dining room that I can just skip, or do they really expect monkey suits?

The lido deck buffet is open during dinner hour. The pizza shop never closes. And then there is room service. If you don't want to dress up, you don't have to. To me there is a lot to say about getting into the room, unpaking and not have any "definites" for the next week -- not to mention different views out your window all the time.

You don't have to eat in the dining room if you don't want to. There are plenty of alternatives. It's your vacation and if you don't want to dress up, then you don't have to.

Because I don't get the chance to dress up that often I love the formal nights but if it's not for you, then don't do it.

Relax and have fun.

I just got off the Miracle. On FORMAL NIGHTS: A very few men wore tuxedos, about 1/2 wore a jacket, many were wearing a dress shirt with or without a tie. No need to stress it. Dress comfortably. You will be able to eat comfortably with no pressure if you dress 'nicely' on formal night.

On regular nights, clean fresh clothes, but "no shorts or bathrobes." That's exactly what the sign says. Many people wore jeans, polo shirts, very casual dress. be comfortable, be happy, relax, it is your vacation, people are there to enjoy and have fun. And because of these boards, I was looking very closely to see what the fuss about dress was all about. On the Miracle, there was no fuss. It seems to be a message board thing. Enjoy!!!!!!
