Dinner Seating

My husband and I are booked on the Glory 18 Oct. I saw on a webpage(don't know which one) that they had lots of seating for 2. When I reserved the late seating with the Carnival Vacation planner she said I could not ask for a table for 2. Does anyone know anything about this? Do they actually seat you at the same table all the time or is it different at every meal?

You are assigned a table for the week. Your sail/sign card will have the early or late seating along with your table number. Soon after getting aboard, go to the dining room and locate the table. If you are not happy, locate the Maitr'e D and see if you can get it changed. The earlier you do this the better chance you will have of getting what you want.
You can request either early or late seating for dinner at time of booking but the cruise line won't confirm either, nor will they confirm a table size.

On the Glory..I noticed that they have 2 formal restaurants. I believe they were the Golden & the Platinum Dining Room and ofcourse the $25 per person one which is the Emerald Room. Now which of the 2 (Golden or Platinum) will you get placed at...does it depend on whether you have 1st or 2nd seating. I asked for early seating...how many different seating times do they for the early and late seatings???

Hersheys, see my previous post. Which restaurant you get will depend on whether you pick/get assigned the 6 or 6:30 for early dining, or the 8 or 8:30 for late dining.

Each dining room has 1 early and 1 late sitting time. The two dining rooms are off set by 1/2 hour, the reasoning being that it will be more efficient for both the kitchen and dining room staff which means that you will get your food quicker and still hot. If you requested early sitting that is what you most probally will get. The exact time you are assigned will depend upon which dining room you are assigned. Nornally but not always if your cabin is forward of mid-ship you will get the forward dining room and if cabin is aft of mid-ship you will get the aft dining room.

we have had a table for two on all our cruises, you do need to ask ahead of time and also as soon as you board the ship check your sail and sign imfo & if needed talk to the maitre'd
we are usually celebrating our anniversary, dinner for 12 just is not that romantic!
have fun
