Was it that the visit was not worth it or that the ship's excursion shuttle was too costly? I think it depends on basically your grandchildren's desire to see the park. Be aware that you will have to center on one park, there probably won't be enough time to do more. I would guess that the age group of your grandkids would suggest the Magic Kingdom. We didn't go when we were on the Dawn earlier because we have been there a number of times. The people I talked to who went had a good time. Some took shuttle, some rented cars, some took cabs.
